The following was written about Celebrating Women Center in the VC Star's 2018 Reader's Choice issue:
At celebrating Women Center, "we enter a collaborative partnership with every client we see. We communicate with them to meet their needs," said Dr. Adrienne Lara, owner. "Our philosophy is that we educate and empower, so as we do your treatment, we teach you about the product, we explain why we're doing certain things, so not only are you educated, you're empowered".
Lara is "a local Mexican girl from Oxnard" who spent 14 years at Harvard, where she trained to be a surgeon.
"I've come back to take care of my people in my community," she said."My motto is 'I went to med school for you'. I come to work happy every day".
